This is an image of the Earth's hydrologic (water) cycle. This image was chosen as it illustrates the Earth as a closed system with its own physical processes that create and build the geographical surface that exists. The water cycle as a closed system is adaptable to all regions of the Earth and this image illustrates how snow, water storage, and excessive ground water runoff depending on the location each are included in the overall water cycle that our earth uses to physically shape the geographic water distribution throughout the Earth. This image indicates the physical outcomes that occur from the natural process of the hydrologic cycle effecting the environmental and geographical structure of the Earth.
